• Subscription Status: Managed by Apple's App Store

How We Use Your Information

Local Storage

• All audio recordings are stored exclusively on your device
• Usage statistics and preferences are stored locally
• We do not have access to your recordings or personal data

AI Generation Service

When using the subscription-based AI generation feature:

• Your text input is sent to our server
• The server forwards it to third-party AI providers (Alibaba Cloud)
• Generated content is returned to your device
• We do not store your input or generated content on our servers

Rate Limiting

• Device identifiers are used solely to prevent abuse
• Request counts are stored temporarily (1 hour window)
• No personal information is associated with these identifiers

Third-Party Services

Apple App Store

• Subscription management is handled by Apple
• Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy

AI Providers (Subscription Mode)

• Alibaba Cloud (Qwen)
• Subject to their respective privacy policies
• We recommend reviewing their policies if you use this feature

User API Key Mode

If you use your own API keys:

• Requests go directly from your device to the AI provider
• We have no access to your API keys or requests
• Subject to the AI provider's privacy policy

Data Security

• Audio recordings never leave your device
• API keys are stored securely in your device's keychain
• Server communications use HTTPS encryption
• We implement rate limiting to prevent abuse

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Delete all your data by uninstalling the app
• Export your recordings through iOS file sharing
• Opt out of AI features by not using them
• Request information about data we process

Children's Privacy

Spell is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
