How do I record a spell?

Tap the + button on the main screen, enter a title for your goal, then tap the record button and read your affirmation aloud. Tap Save when done.

How does AI generation work?

Enter a goal title and tap AI Generate. The app will send your goal text to the AI service you have configured (your own API key or subscription service) to generate affirmation suggestions. Select the one you like best.

What AI providers are supported?

SelfSpell supports OpenAI, DeepSeek, Qwen, Claude, Gemini, Zhipu GLM, Kimi, MiniMax, and Doubao. You can use your own API key from any of these providers, or subscribe to our built-in service.

Where is my data stored?

All audio recordings are stored locally on your device. When you use AI generation, your goal text is sent to the AI provider you selected. SelfSpell does not retain your data on our servers.

How do I manage my subscription?

Go to Settings → Subscription inside the app, or visit Apple's subscription management page.

The app is not generating AI content — what should I do?

• Check that your API key is entered correctly in Settings → AI Advanced.
• Ensure you have an active internet connection.
• If using the subscription service, verify your subscription is active.

How do I enable reminders?

Go to Settings → Reminder and choose Fixed Time or Smart Reminder mode. Grant notification permission when prompted.
